About Us

We are Here, Our Voices.

Here, Our Voices is a consent-first documentation and storytelling movement uplifting Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Men, Girls, Boys, and Two Spirit relatives. Founded by Nicole Merton, we create powerful photo, voice, and video story pieces that honor loved ones, protect families’ privacy, and move communities to action. This is not content. These are lives. Support helps fund travel, recording, and ethical storytelling so voices are seen, heard, and protected.

OUR STORIES

Every story we share is held with care. Through consent-first photography, voice, and video, we document lived experiences that honor loved ones and protect families’ privacy. These are not “posts” or “content” they are sacred memories, real truths, and voices that deserve to be witnessed. When a family chooses to share, we help ensure their story is seen, heard, and remembered with dignity.

OUR AWARNESS - ADVOCACY

Awareness is only the beginning. We use storytelling to educate, spark hard conversations, and bring more allies into meaningful action. We spotlight MMIW/MMIP realities without sensationalizing pain, and we uplift the grassroots advocates, chapters, and community groups doing the work on the ground. Our advocacy is rooted in respect, responsibility, and community-led truth.

OUR IMPACT

Impact is what happens when people don’t look away. Donor support helps fund travel to families and communities, recording and editing of testimonies, and the preservation of stories in a safe, ethical archive. Every contribution expands visibility, strengthens community connection, and helps build pathways toward justice, healing, and accountability. A community remembrance and action gathering honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous People. Includes a tribute space, portrait-led solidarity, and consent-first voice sharing to keep names visible and move allies toward real support.

Outreach Trip Weekend

A traveling, community-hosted weekend where we meet families and advocates where they are. We hold listening circles and optional story sessions (photo, voice, video) with privacy and consent at the center, helping stories be seen, heard, and protected.

A donor and ally event spotlighting chapters, groups, and grassroots advocates doing the work on the ground. Features a story premiere or “Voices of Loved Ones” segment and a focused donation push to fund outreach, documentation, and community-led action.
