The MMIP Movement is led by families, survivors, grassroots organizers, tribal leaders, and advocates who continue to fight for awareness, accountability, and systemic change. Here, Our Voices stands in support of this work by documenting stories with consent and connecting communities to trusted national resources.
This page serves as a resource hub featuring nationally recognized organizations addressing MMIP through advocacy, legal reform, survivor support, data collection, research, and prevention efforts.
Our role is not to replace what is already being done. Our role is to uplift it.

MMIW Indian Capital is located in Anadarko, OK . They are an amazing group of people who set out to search for the missing and comfort the loved ones of those who are no longer here. They have dedicated everything to making sure that the community has support in everything.Â

Missing Murdered Indigenous Women-Chahta
Missing Murdered Indigenous Women-Chahta is located in the Oklahoma City, Ok area. They are a wonderful group that steps up and helps with domestic violence and abuse survivors, but also are there for their community and for MMIWÂ

Newe Waipaiain MMIW Group is located in Elko, Nevada. This group does so much for their native community and are huge advocates as well as help be the voice for the loved ones who are no longer here.

“Carrying The Message” MMIW Group
“Carrying the message” MMIW group is located in Fort Hall, ID. Their mission is to bring awareness and strive for justice for those who are no longer here and who are missing.
Blackfeet MMIP & SAR
Blackfeet MMIP and SAR are a group of amazing people from the Blackfeet reservation who do search and rescue and advocate for their community. They are from Browning, Montana.

Stand Strong Together
Stand Strong Together is a group from Parker, Arizona, that has come together as a community to protect their loved ones and spread awareness. There have been many tragedies in the last few years, and so they have built a strong group of individuals and families who march every year in December for their loved ones. They are on the CRIT (Colorado River Indian Tribe) Reservation.
